day 68: Bali Myna or Bali Starling bird (12.7.25) … also spotted at the Franklin Park Zoo
Day 67: Starling … reminded of this particular Starling at the drive-thru that would steal french fry orders. It would literally swoop down and land on the side mirror or hood of the car and wait for the perfect moment to snatch it away.
day 66: Kea (12.5.25) … also spotted at the Franklin Park Zoo. It’s got the most distinct beak.

A recent study suggests that yelling at the seagulls is enough to shoo them away:

The experiment was designed to show that you don’t need to lash out at the birds, which are a species of conservation concern in the U.K., to frighten them. The voices of males were used, because men commit the most crimes against wildlife. (The Boston Globe)
