One of the most rewarding parts of designing for a cult-favorite brand is seeing where the products turn up years later. Recently, the Mimoco alumni group chat lit up with a low-res clip from Ghostbusters: Afterlife, where our My Little Pony Rainbow Dash MIMOBOT makes a surprise cameo on the big screen.
Seeing this design “live on” in a major motion picture is a testament to the lasting appeal of the lifestyle-tech we built. For me, it was a fun reminder of the work we did to bring the magic of Equestria to the tech world. Even years after the initial launch, it’s a thrill to see our labor of love becoming a part of the cinematic background in such an iconic franchise.
