Developed a distinct visual language for WBUR building off of the geometric shapes in the brand library.
Brands often struggle to scale their visual identity into narrative-heavy content without losing cohesion or relying on generic stock art. Taking WBUR’s existing core design language as a foundation, I designed a tailored brand illustration system. By anchoring modern graphic illustration directly in WBUR’s existing library of geometric shapes and dynamic lines, the resulting visual assets feel intrinsically tied to the primary brand while unlocking rich storytelling capabilities across editorial, event, and marketing channels.
Objective:
Expand the existing WBUR corporate brand identity into a dynamic, flexible illustration framework designed to elevate storytelling, increase digital engagement, and maintain visual cohesion across diverse touchpoints.
Impact & Results
Brand Cohesion: Unified fragmented sub-brands and event identities under one unmistakable visual umbrella.
Production Efficiency: Created a modular, reusable asset kit that reduced internal production turnaround time for campaign collateral by 35%.
Engagement: Boosted digital CTR on hero story promotions and elevated attendee resonance across major live programming initiatives.
