Collaborating with Hasbro to bring the vibrant world of My Little Pony to the Mimoco platform was a joyful exercise in color, personality, and brand precision. Working alongside their licensing team, I led the creative lifecycle to ensure that the “Magic of Friendship” translated perfectly into our designer tech ecosystem.
This partnership required a 360-degree approach to brand stewardship:
- Character Translation: Adapting the soft, expressive silhouettes of the ponies into the iconic MIMOBOT form while maintaining their distinct personalities and Hasbro’s rigorous style standards.
- Retail & Packaging: Designing window-box packaging and Point of Purchase (POP) displays that captured the “blind box” excitement of the collector market.
- Immersive Environments: Crafting large-scale exhibition and tradeshow designs that brought the whimsical aesthetic of Equestria to life for fans and industry partners.
- Integrated Marketing: Executing a full suite of cross-promotional materials, including targeted email marketing and digital campaigns that resonated with both kids and “Brony” collectors alike.
This project was a masterclass in IP storytelling, proving that with the right design strategy, a brand’s core values can shine through on any canvas—even one that fits in your pocket.
