Collaborating with Lucasfilm to bring the Star Wars universe to the Mimoco platform was an exercise in balancing fan reverence with commercial innovation. Working directly with their licensing team, I oversaw the creative product cycle, ensuring every design honored the legacy of a galaxy far, far away.
This partnership went far beyond character design — it was a comprehensive brand exercise that touched every consumer touchpoint:
- IP Integration: Translating legendary characters into the unique MIMOBOT form factor while adhering to strict Lucasfilm style guides.
- 360-Degree Marketing: Executing cross-promotional branding, from high-impact email marketing to digital campaigns.
- Retail & Exhibition: Designing everything from the window-box packaging and Point of Purchase (POP) displays to large-scale tradeshow and exhibition environments.
- Product R&D: Refining the physical product design to ensure the tech felt as premium as the artwork.
This role was a masterclass in IP Stewardship, requiring a deep understanding of how to maintain brand integrity across vastly different scales — from a 2-inch flash drive to a 20-foot exhibition booth.
