“Last Seen” Wordmark

I had the opportunity to design the wordmark for Last Seen, a WBUR podcast series dedicated to unraveling mysteries both esoteric and obvious.

The visual concept was inspired by the classic ransom note aesthetic, utilizing mismatched, “cut-out” letterforms to evoke the grit and tension of a cold case. While the identity was originally rooted in the infamous Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum art heist, I designed it to be versatile enough to serve as an umbrella for an evolving series. It’s been rewarding to see this “ransom” style successfully transition across multiple seasons, providing a consistent, atmospheric anchor for every new mystery the team uncovers.

Last Seen: Postmortem (Season 4)
